Community

We at Woodborough House like to think of ourselves as part of the village and like to do our part for the community. Each year at Christmas time we take part in the village open evening. All the shops are open till late and we take the opportunity to get to know our patients and neighbours on a more personal level, we open our doors and offer wine and cheese to our fellow villagers. These evenings are not only great fun for our guests but for us as well.

Throughout the year we hold coffee mornings to try and raise money for the Macmillan Nurses charity. We also sponsored Goring, Woodcote and the District Lions Clubs with a 10 kilometre charity run for Macmillan Nurses. Some of our staff members have had wonderful support from these great people and we take the opportunity to help give something back. Look out for our next coffee morning, posters will be displayed around Pangbourne village and a notice will be posted on our website.

Within the local community we sponsor the local playgroup calendar and always take an advert in the Pangbourne village fete. Every Christmas we donate to a Christmas lunch for the more mature residents of the village and we always help our local clubs when they are fundraising by donating a few worthy prizes.

We are always interested in hearing about any other ways we can help our community, so if you have any suggestions please contact us with your ideas.
