James, also known as Jim, qualified from The Royal London Hospital School in 1976. He worked as a Dental Officer in The Royal Army Dental Corps from 1977 – 1982, where he held a wide range of clinical posts including Oral Surgery and Anaesthetics at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich.
Jim entered General Practice for the NHS in Kent from 1982 – 1985 and carried out his post graduate at The Eastman Dental Hospital, where he was awarded a Master’s degree in Conservative Dentistry in 1985.
From 1985 – 2018 Jim worked in a private family practice in Hampton where he gained a special interest in Endodontics and fixed and removable Prosthodontics.
From 1986 – 2004 Jim gained a teaching position at Guys Hospital/ United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals (UMDS) and whilst a member of the department, he was awarded a Diploma in Teaching.
In 1992 Jim was awarded a diploma in General Dental Practice (UK) (DGDP) and in 2000 he was entered on to the Registered Specialist list for Endodontics and Prosthodontics.
Jim is happily married with two children. In his spare time he enjoys all type of sport, cooking, drama and humour.
