Neel graduated from the University of Bristol (2002), and subsequently worked in the Community Dental Service and has a lot of experience in special care dentistry including treating extremely anxious patients. He subsequently held various hospital posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and general dental practice, before completing 4 additional years of specialist training in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London.
As part of his specialist training, he completing the MClinDent in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, with Distinction, and was awarded the UCL Dental School Commemorative Prize for clinical and academic excellence in Prosthodontics.
He subsequently accepted a scholarship from the International Team for Implantology (ITI) to undertaken a 2 year Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the Center for Implant Dentistry at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA.
Neel has extensive experience in all aspects of fixed and removable restorative dentistry and has a special interest in the management of tooth wear and teeth with failing crowns and bridges as well as the use of digital technology in dentistry. He also accepts referrals from other dentists for complex restorative and implant dentistry, including the management of complications associated with dental implants and their maintenance.
He practices in private general and specialist referral practice and is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol, where he is involved in teaching dentists undertaking the MSc in Dental Implantology. Neel is also involved in post-graduate dental education and lectures both locally and nationally on topics related to implant dentistry and mentors other dentists who are involved in implant dentistry.
In addition to being a registered speaker for the UK & Ireland Section of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Neel is an ITI Fellow and a member of the UK & Ireland ITI Education Committee.
