Reading’s Home of Slow Dentistry

Our clinic has served the communities of Pangbourne and Reading for well over 40 years.

It was previously owned and run by New Zealand dentist Dr John Anderssen, who was the recipient of the country’s first masters degree in dentistry in 1968.

In 2006, we changed the clinic’s name Woodborough House to match that of the original Victorian building, which has been a familiar landmark to locals since 1888.

And the clinic still retains its New Zealand connection, in the form of principal dentist and proud Kiwi Dr Nick Fahey.

The clinic’s name isn’t the only thing to have changed since Dr Andressen’s days.

We’ve added a full suite of next-generation technology like CT and iTero scanners, 3D smile design and computer-guided surgical systems.

Our work – and the way we work – are different too.

Our portfolio of decidedly contemporary cosmetic treatments like veneers and discrete orthodontics sits alongside dental implants, sinus and bone grafting and other complex restorative work.

Nick Fahey & Sarah Fitzharris

All of this and more is overseen by the husband-and-wife team, Nick Fahey and Sarah Fitzharris, whose commitment to Slow Dentistry has helped Woodborough win countless awards.

But look past our award-winning cosmetic treatments and life-changing restorations for a moment, and you’ll find a family-friendly general practice that is proud to play a part in Pangbourne community life.

I have spent many years avoiding dentists but nav was very professional and reassuring. I had an extraction today which wasn’t straightforward and he was so reassuring. Looking forward to starting a fresh with woodborough

First class service from Helen last week. I am a very nervous person, but look forward to my pampering session of my teeth being cleaned. Helen has listened to all my fears of past experiences, given me confidence to trust her and I feel very relaxed. Thanks look forward to seeing you again
