Last week we shut Woodborough House to the public so that all staff could undergo extensive training. Tracey from Cavity started off the day with training on ‘Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Children’ and provided us with lots of information about spotting the signs of abuse and what to do if we suspect someone is being abused.
In the afternoon Angela from A.I.D. taught us the invaluable skills of CPR and what to do in case of an emergency. Everyone found the training really interesting and it will help us a lot should a situation arise in our practice in the future. Even our nurses on maternity leave came in for the training and, despite the subject matter being slightly morbid, the day was light-hearted and informative for everyone involved.
