Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics | Dentist Area

At Woodborough House Dental Practice, we welcome referrals for patients that require restorative dental treatment, and are able to offer both fixed and removable prosthodontics.

Fixed Prosthodontics

Fixed prosthodontics are tooth restorations that are fixed inside your patient’s mouth. Usually, when your patient is referred to us we will take impressions of their teeth for our technicians to work with. Here at Woodborough House Dental Practice we provide a range of fixed prosthodontics for patients referred to us.

If your patient has a tooth that has been affected by tooth decay, tooth-grinding habits or enamel erosion, a dental crown could be required.

Patients referred to us for crown treatment will first undergo a dental cleaning, which involves the clearing of any debris or decay in preparation for crowning the tooth. The impressions made following the consultation will be sent to our technicians so that the crown can be created. Whilst the crown is being manufactured, we will provide a temporary crown for your patient until the new crown is ready to be fitted, usually around 2 weeks later.

We offer crowns in many different materials such as porcelain fused to metal, aesthetic E-max and metal, depending on the requirements of your patient.

You can refer a patient with missing teeth to Woodborough House Dental Practice to have a dental bridge fitted.

We can supply both porcelain fused to metal bridges and ceramic bridges, depending on your patient’s functional and aesthetic requirements. We will either secure the bridge to neighbouring teeth with precision attachments or fix them in place with dental implants, based on your patient’s circumstances.

Patients with chipped or damaged teeth can be referred to us for veneer treatment. We provide a range of different kinds of veneers depending on your patient’s individual requirements. These include MAC Veneers, Cerinate Lumineers and Da Vinci Porcelain Veneers.

Removable Prosthodontics

Removable prosthodontics is concerned with replacing teeth and/or soft tissues with a removable, non-permanent prosthesis. Dentures can replace a whole arch of teeth or a number of group or individual tooth spaces. At Woodborough House Dental Practice we provide both complete and partial dentures to referred patients.
