A Day in the life at Woodborough House by Lo!

My name is Lo and I am a Dental Nurse (awaiting GDC registration) here at Woodborough House.

I work mainly as part of Nick’s team, helping Mandy with Nursing and Admin. My job is to help make everything run as efficiently as possible for Nick’s patients.

I co-ordinate regularly with our two laboratories making sure that we have the correct work back for the correct patients at the right times, assisting Mandy with patient letters and keeping our referrers up to date with their patients’ progress.

However, no day is the same here at Woodborough House. When I am not working with Nick’s team you can find me nursing with other dentists at the practice, helping with reception duties, filing paperwork, answering the phones and booking appointments. Alongside these things I also help Cathy our clinical manager with stock checking and ordering, as with a practice as busy as ours we use a lot of equipment and stock!

Both I and our Receptionist Leah are Denplan champions; this means that we can talk to patients about how Denplan may benefit them with their dentistry needs throughout the year.  I also help to maintain the Social Media side of Woodborough House alongside Karen, Sam and Leah, keeping everyone up to date on any events and dental updates happening here. We provide weekly blogs and anonymous patient testimonials for current and new patients to see. A quarterly newsletter is sent out to all of our patients via email. Each one is topic specific and they usually come with some form of special offer inside as well.

So as you can see, there is always something to keep you busy and that is what makes working here so enjoyable. There is never a dull moment at Woodborough House and all the staff are helpful and friendly which makes for a great working environment!
