Hidden Braces for Discreet Orthodontic Treatment

When asked what the number one reason for not getting braces is, many people will say they don’t want bulky metal work ruining their smile. Traditional braces are a trusted and effective way to straighten your teeth, however, they are not known for their attractiveness.

At Woodborough House Dental Practice, we believe in providing you with as many treatment options as possible, so that you can achieve the results you’re looking for in a way that best suits your needs, lifestyle, and budget. For that reason, we offer Incognito lingual braces.

Unlike traditional braces, lingual braces are not visible to others. This customisable solution still provides exceptionally effective results, meaning you reap all of the benefits, without having the renovation works on show.

What Are Lingual Braces?

The word ‘lingual’ means near to the tongue. So, when you get lingual braces, they sit on the rear of your teeth, nearest your tongue.

These braces work behind the scenes to gently pull your teeth into a new desirable and straighter position over the course of your treatment. Similar to traditional braces, they use brackets and wires to achieve maximum benefit.

Go Incognito

If you’re interested in lingual braces, we’ll invite you in for a consultation where we’ll carry out a detailed assessment of your teeth. This will give us a good idea about whether you’re a suitable candidate for this treatment option.

Following this, we’ll take impressions and images of your teeth, so that we can build a clear picture of the current layout of your teeth. From this information, we’ll be able to create a 3D representation of what your teeth look like following the treatment.

If you’re happy with the smile that we’ll be creating, we’ll set to work on the custom-made brackets and wire. The fact that these are made specifically for you, will ensure that they are as comfortable as possible.

Once they are ready, Dr Luis Marval, our expert orthodontist will fit your incognito braces. At first, they will feel a little odd, however, you’ll soon get used to having them there.

Periodically throughout the treatment, we’ll arrange for you to come in and have your braces adjusted.

When you opt for Incognito lingual braces, your appointments may take longer than with standard braces, however, we believe that the extra time and effort is worth it for the results we are able to achieve.

We want you to have the best possible experience with your Incognito lingual braces. Our experienced dentists will be able to give you some tips on what you can eat and how best to clean your teeth with the braces in place.

Due to the design of the braces, it is recommended that you book regular appointments with our dental hygienist to ensure tartar and plaque bacteria doesn’t build up around the brackets.
