Leah’s Cocktail-Sipping Holiday to Portugal!

On Saturday the 28^th June I went on holiday to Portugal for a week with my boyfriend, Jamie. We went to Vilamoura which is in the Algarve.

Our flight on the Saturday was at 8.15am, so as you can imagine it was a very early start, but seeing as we were going on holiday we really didn’t mind. We arrived in Portugal around 12pm which was good as we had the rest of the day to sunbathe! :)

It was a pretty chilled holiday, we didn’t really do much but that’s what we wanted – a nice relaxing holiday. We stayed in the Vila Gale Marina Hotel, which was right by the marina. Our room was on the 9^th floor, so we had a lovely view of it. I made sure I got a few good snaps!

The beach was only about a 5-10 minute walk away from our hotel, so we went there one day and had a lovely lunch in the restaurant they had there. We were pretty close to everything, the beach, the bars/pubs etc. This is where we ended up most nights, sipping cocktails.

The weather was lovely. We had a couple of overcast days but the other sunny days made up for it. There is a slight breeze in Portugal which is nice when you’re sunbathing, so you don’t have to get in the pool so much, which meant more tanning time! :)

When we were there it felt like the holiday went really slow which was good, but now that I’m home it feels like it has flown by. I would love to go back; it’s such a lovely place! I’m very jealous that Cathy, our Clinical Manager, is there at the moment!
