Meet Our New Dentists!

We have two new members in the Woodborough House family – our new dentists!

Dr Vanderley da Silva is our new addition to the Endodontic team (Practice Limited to Endodontics). Vanderley qualified in 2001 at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. After qualifying, he finished several postgraduate courses but followed his passion for Endodontics, completing a specialisation course at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Bauru, also in Brazil. Vanderley is always up to date with new research and innovation in the field of Endodontics. He has completed a residency program with Professor Gilberto Debelian, a worldwide renowned Endodontic expert in Oslo, Norway. He has been working in the United Kingdom since 2012, at private practices in London, and most recently in West Sussex and Hampshire. Vanderley believes in the minimally invasive practice of dentistry and makes a great effort to keep his patients relaxed and at ease during their visit.

He is a keen cyclist, attends the gym regularly, and enjoys swimming and scuba diving. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English and is a member of the British Endodontic Society.

Dr Luis Marval is our Dentist with a special interest in Orthodontics: say hello to your new straight smile! Luis got his BDS degree in 1995 at the University Central of Venezuela. Between 1996 and 1998, he was a teaching assistant in the orthodontic department. Luis started the orthodontic program full time in 1999, finishing in 2002.

He moved to England in 2017 and lives with his wife and 2 children – 12 and 14 years old – and likes spending time with them during the weekend. A fitness enthusiast, he plays football and goes to the gym weekly!
