Usually every Summer Nick and Sarah organise a summer BBQ for the whole of the practice to attend, but this year they decided to do something different.

Denplan informed us they were organising a Masquerade Ball on the Dixie Queen in London on the 16th May for a few of their practices, and they invited us to come.

Nick and Sarah arranged for a mini bus to collect us all from the practice, so we met there at around 4pm. As it was a masquerade theme we had to wear our best attire, which could be anything from a smart black tie to smart dresses or ball gowns and of course a masquerade mask, which was essential to have! Everyone looked great!

We had to be at the Tower Pier by 7pm so we could set sail on the Thames. We got to London around 6pm, so it gave us time to have a quick drink at a bar nearby. The weather was lovely – we were very lucky as it hasn’t been the best lately. Denplan definitely picked a good night for it!

Once we got on to the boat, we had drinks on the deck and then dinner was served at 8.15pm. The food was delicious. For starter we had a salmon dish, for main course we had chicken with vegetables and for dessert we had a vanilla cheesecake. We were able to wash that down with a few glasses of wine also!

At 10pm the DJ set started. Old and new songs were playing so it was a great mix! All of us got up on to the dance floor and had a good dance. We were able to go on to the deck as well, the view was great! As it was dark we were able to see London lit up!

We got back to the Tower Pier around 11.30pm and the mini bus was waiting there to take us home.  A big thanks to Denplan for arranging it, all of us had a great night! :)
