As Nick and Sarah flew back to New Zealand on Tuesday 10th December we had to have our Christmas do a little bit earlier this year. But that was fine; as long as there was drink everyone was happy! We booked Trunkwell House for Saturday 7th December, as we had such a good time last year; we thought we would do it all over again! This time the theme was The Orient Express.
We all met at Trunkwell for around quarter to eight and had some drinks in the lobby while we were waiting to be seated. Pretty much everyone that works at Woodborough came so it was nice to be able to let our hair down and all have a laugh together.
We then went to our seats and the food was soon to be served. For starters we had duck pate, for main we had a roast dinner and then for dessert we had a choice between chocolate mousse or Christmas pudding. In between the courses we had some entertainment which was great! There were dancers, trapeze acts and fire breathing acts.
After we had eaten it was time to get on the dance floor! The drinks had been flowing for a while, especially as Sen and Kuljeet had been buying us shots all night, so everyone was up for a dance!
The music finished at 1am so we got all of our things and went to get the taxis.
It was a night that was well worth the headaches in the morning!
