Sally graduated from University College Cork. She completed post-graduate training in endodontics, conservative adhesive dentistry, fixed prosthodontics and corrective periodontal therapy.
She spent three years studying for an Advanced MClinDent in Endodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute, with a research focus on dental traumatology. She has written trauma prevention guidance documents for the Irish Dental Association on the board of the Patient Safety and Quality Committee.
She divides her time between practice and the Eastman Dental Hospital, where she is completing clinical research in dento-facial traumatology which has been nominated for the UCL Deans Research Prize. She lectures on the Eastman Dental Institute Sports Dentistry MSc, and works with regional and national sports teams to provide preventative education and pitch side assistance.
Sally has represented Ireland at European and World level in a number of sports. She is interested in bioscience innovation using AI to address healthcare inequalities. She has been involved with outreach programmes in Ireland, the UK and Africa.
